Our Flat

     Five years ago our family moved into a new flat. It is in a four-storied block of flats on the second floor. The house is situated in a very picturesque place not far from the Dnipro river. In front of the house there is a children’s playground where I usually spend my free time.

   Our flat is very comfortable and well-planned. We have all modern conveniences, such as individual heating system, electricity, gas, cold and hot running water, and a telephone. There are three rooms, a kitchen, a bathroom, a toilet and a corridor in it.

  Our living room is the largest in the flat. It is nicely furnished. Against the wall you can see a bookcase and a cupboard. In the corner there is a TV-set. In the opposite corner there is a sofa and two armchairs. On the floor there is a lovely thick carpet. The curtains on the window match the walls and that makes the room cosy.

  The room I like best is, no doubt, my bedroom. I also use it as a study where I do my homework. And what’s especially pleasant for me, this summer it has been fully redecorated and renewed. So there is a writing-table and a chair before it, a bookcase and a wardrobe in my room. There is a new sofa with some cushions too. I think it good to have a sofa instead of a bed. This makes the room look more modern.

  Our kitchen is the most often visited place. Everybody likes to be there, to have meals or just to sit and talk. There is a gas-stove, a fridge, a sink, a cupboard, and a table with several stools around it.

   In conclusion I should say that I am happy to live in such a nice flat with my family!
